TRIFAC inks MoU with US company
Bhopal, May 18 (UNI) The Trade and Investment Facilitation Corporation (TRIFAC) has inked an MoU with the US Pneumatic Company of St Louis for sustainable plantation on the business model in Madhya Pradesh's tribal areas.
A special feature of the deal, signed in the presence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, is that the company would spend the entire income from such plantation on economic development and welfare of tribals living below poverty line, an official statement said here today.
The issue of sharing global Carbon Credit and the profit generated therein would be separately determined between TRIFAC and the company. TRIFAC would strive and assist the company in obtaining concessions as provided in prevailing rules and policy of the state government.
The company would explore possibilities of involving NABARD, World Bank, Green Concept promoters and other such stakeholders to evolve a sustainable economic entity. The company would undertake plantation on wasteland and other government and private land in tribal areas wherever permission is granted by the government.
Seven investors held meetings with the delegation led by Mr Chouhan. Three of them held discussions with industrialists included in the delegation.
Centurion Companies' Mr Greg expressed interest in software and call centres. A meeting involving Mr Rajkumar Jain, a delegate, was arranged with him. Unico Company's Mr Scot offered to provide a technique for manufacturing soundless airconditioners. For this, a deal was finalised with Mr Dinesh Patidar. An interaction between Ramphel Pharma and EPCO Managing Director Chandokar was arranged.
Mr Chouhan inaugurated a Indo-US Centre for Madhya Pradesh to serve as a bridge between entrepreneurs and investors. It was the outcome of a MoU, inked in 2005, between NRI Deepak Kant Vyas and an Indian delegation.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister exhorted Dr Vyas to work as ambassador for Madhya Pradesh to facilitate cooperation for development.
At the business meet, Mayor F Flay made a presentation on St Louis entitled 'Centrally Located-Perfectly Connected'. ''Out of 1,000 premier institutions mentioned by the Fortune magazine, 24 have their headquarters here,'' he claimed.
Madhya Pradesh Commerce and Industry Minister Babulal Gaur and his IT counterpart Kailash Vijayvargiya were present on the occasion. The Chief Minister invited the industrialists and investors to participate in a Global Investors Summit scheduled here in October, the statement added.
