Satyendra Dubey's brother deposes in court
Patna, May 18 (UNI) Brother of Satyendra Dubey, slain engineer of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), today deposed in a sessions court.
While deposing before the additional district and sessions judge of Patna B K Srivastava, Satyendra's brother Dhananjay Kumar Dubey informed the court that his eleder brother was shot dead in Gaya while returing after a marriage negotiation for his sister in 2003.
He also informed the court that he himself identified the body along with some belongings of Satyendra, including some photographs and 'janamkundli'(horoscope) of his sister.
During cross examination by defence lawyer, Dhananjay said some corrupt officers and contractors at Gaya were afraid of his brother because he was an honest officer. However, he said he did not know whether Satyendra had any enmity with anyone.
The NHAI engineer-cum-project manager was shot dead near the circuit house of Gaya district on November 27, 2003 after he protested against some alleged wrongdoings.
During investigation the CBI had found that Dubey was killed for protesting against some loot.
