'Resolve Sikh sectarian violence by dialogue'
Panaji, May 18: BJP leader Navjyot Singh Sidhu today called for an all-party meeting to initiate a dialogue to resolve the Sikh sectarian violence in Punjab and Haryana.
''I would not like to comment on the religious issue which has to be tackled by the Akal Takht, the highest Sikh religious body, that issued a 'Hukumnama' that has not been obeyed by some people resulting in violence,'' he told mediapersons.
Mr Sidhu, who concluded his two-day campaign for the party for the June 2 elections to the Goa Legilative Assembly, said people should ''clean bowl'' the unstable and corrupt Congress-led coalition government that sought to deface Goa's tourism for personal interests.
The government is replete with tales of in-fighting with Vishwajeet, the son of Chief Minister Pratapsinh Rane, contesting as an independent and the government putting on hold many of its projects such as SEZ's, IT park and the Regional Plan 2011, he said.
Anti-incumbency factor, both at the Centre and the State, due to poor performance has put the Congress in a paradoxical situation accentuated with punctured reputation, throwing Goa on the cross roads once again, he added.
