PM to lay foundation of Rs 4,000 cr power plant at Hisar
New Delhi, May 18 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will lay the foundation stone of a 1,200 MW thermal power plant at a cost of Rs 4,000 crore at village Khedar in Hisar district tomorrow.
The plant, the biggest power project in the northern India, will be completed in a record time of 387 months.
As per schedule, the first unit of this power plant will commence in December 2009.
Dr Singh will also address a public gathering on the occasion.
