Passenger thrown out of running train,suffer multiple injuries
Hajipur, May 18 (UNI) In a shocking incident one person was kicked out of a running train by the Railway police accompanying ticket checking staff, injuring him seriously near Sonepur, about 40 km from here yesterday.
The incident occurred when the victim Rakesh Kumar Paswan(26), who was travelling by Amrapali Express to New Delhi from Katihar, was asked to produce his ticket.
But even though Rakesh, a resident of Bairiya village in Supaul district bordering Nepal, produced his ticket he was asked to pay Rs 50 more. On refusing to pay and after he sought an explanation for the additional payment he was kicked out of the running train by one of the enraged security personnel at a deserted place near Sonepur causing multiple injuries.
Later some local people found him lying near the train tracks and admitted him to the local hospital with multiple fractures.
The incident had created a furore in the state and as a result a departmental inquary had already been ordered to reveal the truth and identify the alleged culprits.
