Passenger thrown out of running train, suffers multiple injuries
Hajipur, May 18 (UNI) In a shocking incident one person was kicked out of a running train by the Railway police and a ticket checking staff, injuring him seriously near Sonepur, about 40 km from here yesterday.
The incident occurred when the victim Rakesh Kumar Paswan(26), who was travelling from Katihar to New Delhi by Amrapali Express was asked to produce his ticket.
Eeven though Rakesh, a resident of Bairiya village in Supaul district bordering Nepal, produced his ticket he was asked to pay Rs 50. On refusing to pay and seeking explanation for the additional payment, he was kicked out of the running train by one of the enraged security personnel at a deserted place near Sonepur.
Later some local people found him lying with multiple injuries near the train tracks and admitted him to the local hospital.
The incident had created a furore in the state and a departmental inquiry had already been ordered to reveal the truth and identify the alleged culprits.
