Panaji, May 18 (UNI) BJP ruled out forging an alliance with any other regional party in the post-poll scenario in Goa, maintaining that it would win a comfortable majority in the June 2 elections to the 40-member Goa Legislative Assembly for which it has fielded 32 candidates.

Interacting with mediapersons here today, party national spokesperson and in-charge of Goa elections Rajiv Pratap Rudy, said it was more so with the United Goans Democratic Party (UGDP) on whose ticket the architect of the controversial Regional Plan-2011 and former minister Atanasio (Babush) Monserrate was contending from Taleigao.

Decribing the plan as ''disruptive'', Mr Rudy said, the plan, if not put on hold by the awakened and united Goans, could trigger a ''divisive, destructive and demogrphic time bomb capable of seriously impacting its rich cultural heritage of the past, present and the future''.

He alleged that Congress tried to use this plan ''to pursue divisive agenda of fomenting social tensions through ethnic conflicts.'' The plan was created with a multi-pronged strategy of filling the coffers of the Congress party on one hand and disrupting demographic and social equilibrium on the other, he said.

This design of the Goa Congress was in tune with the divisive policies of the Congress at the nationl level since Independence as evidenced in Asom, West Bengal, Bihar and even north eastern states, he said.

In this connection, he also reminded of the caution by National Security Advisor to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh about growing investments and foreign funds in the real estate sector including Goa as a potent tool for unleasing terrorism.

The BJP would spell out its strategy to counter this threat in its manifesto which will be released by Arun Jaitley on May 22.
