MP Govt directed to dispose cases against corrupt officials

Jabalpur, May 16 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh High Court has directed the state government to dispose of the cases presented by the Lokayukta within three months after giving suitable recommendations.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice Anang Kumar Patnaik and Justice Sugandhi Lal Jain gave the direction while hearing a petition filed by former DGP Arun Gurtu regarding delay in receiving permission from the government for taking legal action against officials caught under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

The petitioner told the court that the Lokayukta submits application before the government for taking action against the state cadre's corrupt officials.
