MEG bids farewell to Commandant Brigadier A S Chand

Bangalore, May 18 (UNI) A colourful parade was held at the prestigious Army Training Centre, Madras Engineering Group and Centre here to bid farewell to Commandant Brigadier A S Chand who would proceed to HQ, Central Command on promotion.

An alumnus of NDA, Khandakwasla, Brig Chand was commissioned into the elite Madras Sappers in 1973.

During his tenure at the MEG, training, welfare and infrastructural development were given a new dimension. It also continued to excel in sports arena at national and international levels. He had also taken keen interest in rehabilitation and welfare of ex-servicemen of the group, a defence release said here today.
