Man's body recovered from Tapi river in suspected suicide case

Surat, May 18 (UNI) The body of a man, who had quarrelled with his wife and left home on Tuesday, was found in Tapi river near Ashwini Kumar Crematorium here yesterday, police said.

According to police, a body was found in the river and was taken out by the fire brigade personnel yesterday.

After an inquiry, police found that the body was that of Amrit Chottalal Thakkar (48) who had quarrelled with his wife and left home in a fit of anger.

Police suspect that Thakkar might have committed suicide.
