Macro management mode of agriculture in Manipur

Imphal, May 18 (UNI) The Manipur government was implementing macro management mode of agriculture, state Agriculture Minister Ph Parijat told the Assembly today.

Official sources said here that the Cooperation department, state Land Use Board, Horticulture and Soil Conservation department, Agriculture department were involved in the proposed schemes.

During 2006-07, about Rs 75 lakh had been sanctioned by the state government only for the five hill districts of Manipur, and works related to oil seed, pulses, maize, seed multiplication, rodent trap, rodenticide had been taken up, the Minister said.
