Kerala govt has failed on all fronts: Muraleedharan

Kottayam, May 18 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) State President K Muraleedharan today said the Achuthanandan government had failed on all fronts.

Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Muraleedharan, who is here as part of his ''Janasamparka Yatra'' said the the state government had failed to redress the problems of the common people. The only shining feature was the signing of the Smart City agreement.

On the ongoing eviction drive at Munnar, he alleged that the government was not sincere in carrying it out. Some resorts might have demolished but the administration had failed to take action against all encroachers.

The Special Task Force could not demolish the CPI office and they had to beat a hasty retreat following protests from partymen, he said.

The government had also failed in the health, higher education and other sectors besides maintaining law and order. The self-financing sector was under the control of private management, he alleged.

Mr Muralidharan demanded that a criminal case be registered against Mr Arun Kumar, son of Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan for filing false affidavit for PhD registration in Kerala University.

NCP was for a new front and discussions were going on in this regard, he said, adding the party would not forge alliance with the Congress as well as the BJP.
