I want to turn the entire house 'blue': Mayawati

Lucknow, May 18(UNI) Newly-elected legislators of the Uttar Pradesh assembly today could not help themselves from bursting into laughter when Chief Minister Mayawati said that it was her duty to ensure that the entire house adopted 'blue', the colour synonymous with her party.

During her address after the election of Sukhdeo Rajbhar as the new speaker of the house, Ms Mayawati pointing towards Congress legislature party leader Pramod Tiwari said, he was fast adopting 'blue' by wearing a Jawahar jacket of that colour. Incidentally, another Congress MLA Amita Singh was in a blue saree.

When a member from the opposition bench asked why she was not wearing blue, the CM said she has already adopted the colour (BSP's philosophy), but now it was the turn of the entire house to follow the BSP's philosphy.

'' Mai to neele me rangi hui hun, aab aap logo ko rangna hai'', she said.
