Hyd blast: Muslim body urges restraint

Bhopal, May 18 (UNI) The Muslim Majlis-i-Mushawarat today condemned the killing of at least eight people and injuries to several others by a bomb blast that ripped through a crowded prayer meeting at Hyderabad's historic Mecca Masjid.

''We urge people to maintain restraint despite the provocation.

The culprits must be awarded the harshest punishment and the sufferers adequately compensated,'' the Mushawarat's Madhya Pradesh Convenor Syed Irshad Ali said in a release issued here,.
