HC notices to Punajb, Haryana, UT on safety of Sacha Sauda

Chandigarh, May 18 (UNI) Punjab and Haryana Hhigh Court today issued notices to Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh administration on a PIL seeking directions to the authorities in these states to ensure the life, liberty and property of Dera Sacha Sauda, Sirsa in Haryana and of its followers from certain Sikh organisations.

The petitioner, Manjit Singh, an advocate, also submitted before the division bench of Chief Justice Vijender Jain and Justice Mahesh Grover that safety of the sub-deras at various places must be ensured noting that Sacha Sauda had three crore followers in and outside India.

The notices are returnable by May 25.
