Gulbarga records maximum temp of 40.9 deg. celsius
Bangalore, May 18 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the Weather Office here at 0830hrs today.
Rainfall occurred at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka.
Mainly dry weather prevailed over South Interior Karnataka and dry weather prevailed over North Interior Karnataka.
Maximum temperatures rose at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and changed little over Interior Karnataka. They were appreciably above normal at most places over South Interior Karnataka; above normal at most places being appreciably so at many places over Coastal Karnataka and remained normal over North Interior Karnataka.
Gulbarga recorded highest maximum temperature of 40.9 degree Celsius over the State.
Forecast valid until Sunday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over the State.
Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at isolated places over Dakshina Kannada district of Coastal Karnataka, Belgaum district of North Interior Karnataka and over Kodagu, Mysore, Chamarajanagar, Mandya, Bangalore Urban and Bangalore Rural districts of South Interior Karnataka.
Local forecast: Partly cloudy. Thundery conditions possible towards evening/night. Maximum temperature would be around 35 degree celsius.
