Dr Reddy posts Rs 932.7 cr profit in FY07

Hyderabad, May 18 (UNI) Pharma major, Dr Reddy's Laboratories Ltd has posted a profit of Rs 932.7 crore in the year ended March 31, 2007.

The revenues at the end of March 31, 2007 was Rs 65 billion, as against Rs 24 billion in the previous financial year, showed an YoY growth of 168 per cent.

Revenues from India increased by 11 per cent, while from international markets it had increased by 250 per cent.

Revenues excluding the contribution from authorized generics and acquisitions, increased by 58 per cent, to Rs 36 billion in FY07 from Rs 23 billion in FY06. Revenues from authorized generics and acquisitions contributed 24 per cent and 21 per cent, respectively.

Revenues from international markets grew by 34 per cent to Rs 5.9 billion, driven by growth in Russia, Romania, Venezuela and CIS region.

Revenues in the Active Pharmaceuticals Ingredients (APIs) was hiked by 44 per cent to Rs 11.8 billion in FY07 from Rs 8.2 billion in FY06.

Revenues from custom pharmaceuticals services increased to Rs 6.6 billion in FY07 from Rs 1.3 billion in FY06. Excluding contribution from acquisitions, revenues grew from Rs 522 million to Rs 1,203 million, driven by growth in customer base and product portfolio.
