Delhi-UP Bus service to resume from tomorrow: Haroon

New Delhi, May 18 (UNI) The bus service between Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, which was suspended since the last six months, is set to resume from tomorrow, following an agreement between the two states in this regard.

Talking to reporters here, Delhi Transport Minister Haroon Yousuf said the bus service between the two states would resume from tomorrow.

Mr Yousuf said he along with UP Transport Minister Achal Rajbhar would formally flag off the bus service between the two states at a function at Anand Vihar bus terminus tomorrow.

The resumption of the bus service comes after the talks between Transport secretaries of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh yesterday to resolve the logjam.

After the two rounds of talks, which ended on a fruitful note, hopes had risen for the resumption of the bus service.

At yesterday's talks, Uttar Pradesh was represented by its Principal Transport Secretary Pradeep Shukla and the UP state transport corporation MD Devdutt, while Delhi was represented by its Transport Secretary R Chandramohan and DTC chairman Ansu Prakash.
