College student wounded in firing

Muzaffarnagar, May 18 (UNI) A college student suffered grievous bullet wounds in a firing incident in Civil Lines area here today.

The incident occurred at DAV Degree College, when some students tried to break the queue of admit card seekers.

In the firing, Yawar Abbas was wounded and was rushed to hospital in a critical condition, police said.

Meanwhile, police and PAC personnel in strength had been deployed around the campus to quell any fresh violence.

A hunt was on for the accused.
