CM held detailed review meeting
Hyderabad, May (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, who arrived here tonight, held a detailed emergency review meeting at the Begumpet Airport on the bomb blast at Mecca Masjid today.
The Chief Minister, who expressed his anguish and concern over the incident, asked the police officials to bring the situation under control immediately. He asked them to bring back normalcy in the old city and restore confidence among the people.
Dr Reddy told the DGP and the City Police Commissioner to deploy as many forces as required in the areas to bring back normalcy and confidence among the people. If necessary he would ask the Prime Minister's office to send Rapid Action Force personnal to be deployed in the troubled areas, he added.
Annoucing that a detailed review meeting would be hold tomorrow, he said Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil assured him all cooperation in this regard.
State Home Minister K Jana Reddy, Minorities Welfare Minister Ali Shabbir Mohammed, Cooperation Minister Fareeduddin Mohammed, BC Welfare Minister Mukesh Goud, Chief Secretary J Harinarayana, DGP M A Basith and City Police Commissioner Balwinder Singh attended the meeting.
