City court extends remand of Babubhai Katara
New Delhi, May 18 (UNI) A city court today extended the judicial remand of BJP MP Babubhai Katara till June 1 in a human trafficking case.
He was produced before Chief Judicial Magistrate Kamini Lau along with three other accused Rajinder Kumar, Sundarlal Yadav and Kiran Dhar.
Katara was arrested at IGI airport on April 18 on charges of trying to take a woman, Paramjit Kaur, and a teenaged boy to Toronto on diplomatic passports belonging to his wife and son.
The investigation officer filed an application in the court today for extending the judicial custody of the accused because the investigation in the case is on.
