Bhatinda in dire straits against Patiala

Patiala, May 18 (UNI) In a crucial semi-final match, Bathinda were in dire straits with 41 for 3 against Patiala at close of play here in the Punjab Inter-District cricket (Under-17) for M.L.Markan Trophy at the Dhruv Pandove Cricket Stadium.

Batting first, Patiala were all out for 163 in 72.4 overs.

Gauravpreet Singh played a painstaking innings of 64, which was embellished with 9 fours. He faced 207 balls.

Mohit Mohindra too played a useful knock of 33, which comprised 4 fours.

For Bathinda, medium pacer Rajkamal Dhillon bowled well to capture 4 wickets, giving away 44 runs. Sukhdeep Singh played a perfect foil to Dhillon, capturing 3 wickets, conceding 18 runs. Vikas Lamba took 2 for 16.

At stump, Bathinda were 41 for 3 in 20 overs. Rahul Jaitley was unbeaten on 16.

For Patiala, Robin Dhillon captured 2 wickets without conceding a run, while Mohit Mohindra has taken 1 for 17.
