Bengal Govsounds high alert following Hyderabad blast
Kolkata, May 18(UNI) The West Bengal government sounded a high alert throughout the state today following the Hyderabad blast and the religious unrest in Punjab and Haryana.
"The state has been put on a high alert following the blast in a mosque in Hyderabad. A special vigil has also been ordered in the districts having substantial Sikh population," Inspector General of Police (Law and Order) Raj Kanojia said.
At least five people were killed and seeral injured in the bomb blast in the Hyderbad mosque today while Punjab and Haryana had been witnessing clahses over the Dera Sacha Sauda controversy.
