Bangladeshi villagers kill 3 bisons of Tripura sanctuary

Agartala, May 18 (UNI) Tripura Forest officials today alleged that a few Bangladeshi villagers had killed three bisons in the Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary along Indo-Bangladesh borders.

The officials here said the three bisons, which strayed out of the sanctuary and entered the border area, were killed yesterday by the armed villagers of the neighbouring country.

Sanctuary officials have informed the matter to the BSF and they would take up the matter with the Centre.

Sanctuary Chief Warden Animesh Das said,'' They brutally killed the bisons in front of BDR.
