Andhra Bank to re-launch 'Kiddy Bank'

Rajahmundry, May 18 (UNI) The Andhra Bank would re-launch the 'Kiddy Bank' scheme in ten days to promote thrift and savings habit among children, Bank Chairman and Managing Director K Ramakrishnan said.

Addressing the press after inaugurating the bank's 95th branch in East Godavari District, Dr Ramakrishnan said the 'Kiddy Bank' will come with dolls as before to attact the children.

He said the user-friendly bio-metric ATM had been getting good response with 100 more such machines to be introduced both in rural and urban areas including, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Kakinada.

The bank will be opening another branch at New Jersey and it proposed to open a bank in Malaysia as joint venture with Bank of Baroda, Punjab National Bank.

Dr Ramakrishnan said the bank achieved all targets and erned the highest net profit of Rs 538 crore and hoped to announce a dividend of 38 per cent.
