Airtel to invest Rs 800 crore on expansion

Indore, May 18: Telecom major Bharti Airtel Ltd will invest Rs 800 crore in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh circle in this financial year on expansion plans and network growth.

Talking to mediapersons after launching Life Time prepaid plan of Rs 495 here today, Bharti Airtel Ltd Executive Director Jayant Khosla said the circle had tremendous opportunities and one of the fastest growing markets with a customer base of 1.5 million.

Mr Khosla said at present the mobile call tariffs were very competitive and in India, the tariff were cheapest in the world.

About the life time plan, company's COO Sunil Goyal said Airtel has the maximum validity till September 2021 amongst all the operators.
