Youth arrested for slapping judge

Akola, Maharashtra, May 17 (UNI) A youth has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a judge in neighbouring Washim district.

Vinod Tulshiram Jadhav has been remanded in police custody till May 21.

The youth was riding a bicycle on May 15 when additional sessions judge M V Yeotikar happened to pass by in his car. As the youth was blocking his way, the judge asked him to ride on the side. However, this angered Jadhav and he quarrelled with the judge. Jadhav, later, allegedly slapped the judge and abused him.

Jadhav was arrested after the judge lodged a complaint against him.
