Utsav' kids present Presedent with Ganesh idols

Kolkata, May 17 (UNI) The deaf and dumb children, toddlers and differently abled kids once again managed to move him by their two Ganesh idols made from jute.

These kids of 'Utsav', an NGO here, presented him the Ganeshas.

The President held 'darbar' with 26 people representing different cultural and social organisations as well as small and medium industries, NGOs and individuals.

Representatives of the federation of small and medium industries urged the President to advise the Central Government to expedite the process for availability of small and medium industries. They pointed out the difficulty and the time taken for mutation and conversion of land for industrial use.

The Asian Front of Human Rights requested the President to ensure the establishment of exclusive human right courts, lok adalat and rural courts.

Dr Kalam said that the government shows alacrity in clearing land for SEZ, but it takes years for acquiring a 5 bigha plot for a small and medium industries.

The representative of Dibyajyoti Cultural Organisation and Social Welfare Society pointed out to the President the drop in interest towards development for rural culture and arts and urged him to impress upon the government for more financial grants to organisations engaged in such work.

There were also the representatives of Marwari Federation who called upon the President to give leadership to a reformation movement to stem the following values in social life today.
