UP result cannot be repeated in other States: Srinivas Prasad

Mysore, May 17 (UNI) Former Union Minister and Congress leader V Srinivasa Prasad today said that Uttar Pradesh Assembly result cannot be repeated in other States.

Welcoming Bahujan Samaja Party (BSP) forming the party and Ms Mayawathi becoming Chief Minister, Mr Prasad alleged that BSP joined hands with upper caste changing its original principle and it worked out positively.

However, the same kind of strategy would not work in other States particularly in Karnataka. " In Karnataka the situation is different and there are three parties which has strong holds fighting each other every times when the elections were held." Replying to a question, he said that the Congress high command has taken note of party's poor performance in the UP election and have already taken steps to strengthen the party in all fronts.

Replying to a question, he said that we have to wait and see how long BSP can run the government.
