ULFA kills Army 'informer'

Guwahati, May 17 (UNI) An 'informer' of the Army was lynched by ULFA activists in Tinsukia district of upper Asom.

A source in the 2nd Mountain Division based at Dinjan in Dibrugarh said Hemanta Gogoi alias Madhav, a resident of Nao Meseki Tinsukia district, was whisked away by the ULFA extremists last night.

His body, which was in pieces, was recovered buried near the outskirts of his village today.

The army said ULFA killed Hemanta suspecting him to be an informer of the security forces.
