Two killed, 15 injured in bus accident

Coimbatore, May 17 (UNI) Two persons, including a woman were killed on the spot and 15 others injured when a bus collided with a tempo at Pudhupalayam Pirivu, near Perumanallur in the district today.

Police said the private bus was proceeding to Erode from Mettupalayam. Suddenly, one of the front tyres of the bus burst and the driver lost control.

The driver Palanisamy (50) and a passenger Ayisha Bheevi (70) were killed on the spot. The injured were admitted to Perumanallur and Tirupur private hospitals, the police added.
