Tribal dies in police custody in Orissa
Rourkela, May 17 (UNI) A tribal allegedly involved in a dacoit case died while in custody in Brahmunitarang police station of Sundergarh police district yesterday.
Chunilal Kisan(30) of Kalokudar village involved in a dacoity case in way back 2004 was arrested by the police as a non bailable arrest warrant was issued against him for not attending the court in connection with the case.
According to police, Kisan committed suicide in the bathroom of the ''hazat'' by hanging himself from a towel last night.
Inspector General(Western Range) Pranabandhu Acharya, Rourkela Superintendent of Police P Rabikant and other senior police officials have rushed to the spot for an on the spot investigation.
