Traffic continues to be disrupted on NH 39
Kohima, May 17: Vehicular traffic on National Highway 39 continued to remain disrupted for the third day today, following major landslide below the Naga Hospital here.
Official sources said vehicular traffic to and from Dimapur on the highway, which happens to be the lifeline of Nagaland and Manipur, had been diverted via Leke road through Forest Colony bypass road and Jotsoma Bypass.
Despite the efforts made by the Border Road Task Force (BRTF) personnel, the traffic on the highway was still poor.
Reports further said there were heavy landslides on the highway in Mao gate area under Senapati district of Manipur, where the BRTF personnel are working round-the-clock to clear the road for vehicular traffic.
Several heavily locaded trucks, most of them bound for Manipur, were stranded as they could not go via bypass road.
