Tourist from Maharashtra dies after having lunch in Kashmir

Srinagar, May 17 (UNI) A tourist from Pune in Maharashtra died immediately after having lunch at the famed hill resort of Pahalgam in south Kashmir today, police said.

The 60-year-old tourist, Vishvanathan Vadoo, became unconscious immediately after taking lunch at Pahalgam.

Police said he was rushed to the Pahalgam Sub-District Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Police have taken cognizance and taken up investigations to ascertain the cause of death.
