Three arrested for preparing fake visas
Warangal, Andhra Pradesh, May 17 (UNI) Police have arrested three people on charge of preparing fake documents to secure H1 visas for candidates aspiring to go the US.
Disclosing this at a press conference here today, Superintendent of Police Soumya Mishra said the main accused Mittapalli Vijayabhaskar floated a firm named Cyber Plus Inc and his brother Raghunandan Rao floated another firm named Sage Business Solutions Inc., at Lousiana in the US. Both prepared fake documents to send prospective candidates to the US.
Vijayabhaskar Rao was involved in preparing fake certificates of computer education, job experience and good financial position needed for issue of visa while his brother Raghunandan used to secure jobs in Lousiana for the candidates sent by his brother charging 23 per cent of their salary every month for one year from the candidates there, she said.
The accused Vijayabhaskar not only used the names of popular companies but also used names of non-existent firms to prepare qualification and job experience certificates for the candidates.
He was found to have hired two agents to search for clients -- Md Majid alias Akbar and D Harikesha. Both were arrested by the police.
Vijayabhaskar had so far processed 70 applications and successfully sent about 35 candidates to United States and also shifted 82 NRIs settled in other countries to US, charging enormous amounts.
The police seized the fake documents, one passport and an ICICI NRI account debit card belonging to Vijayabhaskar Rao.
