Teenager shot dead

Rohtak, May 17 (UNI) A teenaged boy was shot dead by unidentified assailantas at his residence in Uttar Vihar locality here in the wee hours of today.

The deceased has been identified as Ravi Alias Monu (19), son of Ramesh, hailing from Farmana village.

According to police sources, some unidentified miscreants intruded into the house of Ramesh by scaling the wall with the intention of committing theft in early hours. As the intruders entered Ravi's room, he woke up and challenged them. While the miscreants were trying to escape, Ravi and other family members chased them.

Ravi was shot in the head by the fleeing miscreants. He died on the spot.

The police sent the body for postmortem and registered a case of murder against unidentified killers.
