Special trains to ease rush: Minister

Chennai, May 17 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Railways R Velu has ordered to run special trains, on Chennai Egmore-Madurai, Tuticorin, sections to clear the extra rush of passengers.

A Southern Railway press release said here today that the Chennai Egmore - Madurai Special will leave here at 2300 hrs on May 19, and arrive in Madurai at 0900 hrs the next day.

It said another special on Madurai- Chennai Egmore leave Madurai at 2300 hrs on May 19, and arrive here at 0900 hrs the next day. In its return direction, the train would leave here as 2330 hrs on May 23 and arrive at Madurai at 0930 hrs the next day.

Another special train arrive leave Madurai at 1845 hrs on May 25 and would arrive in Chennai Egmore at 0430 hrs the next day. In its return direction, the Special train would leave Chennai Egmore at 2300 hrs on May 28 and arrive in Madurai at 0900 hrs the next day.

The release said the Chennai Egmore - Tuticorin Special would leave here at 2300 hrs on May 21 and arrive at Tuticorin at 1215 hrs the next day. In its treturn ditrection the train would leave Tuticorin at 2100 hrs on May 22 and arrive here at 0900 hrs the next day.
