Severe heatwave conditions in Coastal AP

Hyderabad, May 17 (UNI) Severe heatwave conditions prevailed in parts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh while the weather was mainly dry over Telangana and Rayalaseema region.

The maximum temperatures rose at one or two places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed little over Telangana and Rayalaseema yesterday, according to weather office here today.

The maximum temperature was above normal at a few places over Telangana and Rayalaseema.

The highest maximum temperature of 46 degrees Celsius was recorded at Rentachintala and Vijayawada in the state.

The weather office predicted severe heatwave conditions in the districts of Nellore, Prakasam, Guntur, Krishna, East and West Godavari during next 48 hours.
