Scheme for strengthening revenue administation
Chandigarh, May 17 (UNI) The Government has sanctioned a scheme for strengthening of revenue administation and updating of land records so that it could purchase modern equipment for survey and settlement, strengthening of revenue training institute and construction of revenue record rooms in the state.
Revenue Minister Capt Ajay Singh Yadav said that under the scheme a Patwar Training School was being constructed at Panchkula and a sum of Rs 80.88 lakh had been placed at the disposal of the PWD (B&R) department for the construction of the building.
He said that with the completion of this training school patwaris of northern districts of the state would get training facilities.
Capt Yadav said that similarly, under the scheme a Patwar Training Institute along with hostel and residential facilities had been constructed at Hisar at a cost of Rs 1.77 crore.
He said this institute would cater to the needs to provide training to about 250 trainees besides refresher courses of patwaris, kanungos, naib tehsildars and registration clerks would also be organised in the institute.
