Reliance Fresh vehicles stoned

Indore, May 17 (UNI) Agitation against opening of Reliance Fresh stores continued on the third day today with retail vegetable vendors pelting stones at Fresh vehicles at the Choithram Mandi here this morning.

A security guard of the Mandi was injured in stone throwing and a complaint lodged with Rajendra Nagar police station, Mandi Administrator Nilay Satbhaiya said.

Reliance Fresh employees reached the Mandi to purchase vegetables. There was no major damage to the vehicles in stone throwing, police said.

A total of 24 workers of Swadeshi Jagaran Manch, leftist parties and retail vegetable vendors, who were agitating against Reliance Fresh, were arrested here yesterday, when six such stores were formally opened.
