Opium, heroin worth over a crore seized, 4 arrested

New Delhi, May 17 (UNI) In a major success in its drive against drug syndicates in the national Capital, police today seized contraband worth more than a crore and arrested four persons.

The seizure of 27.5 kg opium and 750 gm heroin, being brought from Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, was done following a tip-off, police said today.

While two of the accused were arrested with major part of the contraband from Sarai Kale Khan area in South Delhi, two others were arrested from two different places following interrogation of those apprehended.
