One killed two injured in lightning

JAMMU, May 17 (UNI) One person was killed and two other injured when lightning struck at a house in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir last night, police said here today.

The deceased was identified as Mou of village Prithi Chak, near Lachhipura.

Others, Yograj and Dharm Pal, who suffered burn injuries, were admitted to the hospital.

Meanwhile, 17 houses were damaged in a cloud burst at Pranoo in Doda district. However, no loss of life was reported, police said, adding some household goods were damaged in the incident.
