No withdrawal in Daltonganj bypoll

Daltonganj, May 15 (UNI) There was no withdrawal of nominations today by the candidates for the June two by-election.

Sub-Divisional Officer-cum-electoral officer for the by-elections Awdesh Upadhyay said, no candidate had withdrawn nomination today.

It could,however, be done till 1500 hrs tomorrow.

Mr Upadhayay said one nomination was cancelled yesterday among the 26 nominations filed.

The by-elections slated on June 2 was necessitated after sitting MLA and JD(U) leader Inder Singh Namdhari resigned from the seat on March 29.
