No orders to any sect to vacate deras: Punjab Govt
Chandigarh, May 17 (UNI) The Punjab government today denied the rumours that it had issued any instructions to Punjab Police to get the Deras of any sect vacated.
Speaking on behalf of the Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, his media advisor Harcharan Bains said no orders had been issued to any side to vacate the religious places.
The clarification came in the wake of a media report that the government had ordered the Sacha Sauda sect to vacate its deras in the state in the wake of its conflict with the Sikh organisations.
Mr Bains said an appeal was being made to both sides not to form ''aggressive gatherings.'' UNI
