MSEDCL requests MERC to defer second staggering day
Mumbai, May 17 (UNI) The Maharashtra State Electricity Distriction Corporation Ltd (MSEDCL) today filed a review-cum-clarificatory petition with Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC), saying that since at present load-shedding has gone below 4500 mega watt, the second staggering day for the industries may be deferred.
The MSEDCL requested MERC, in case the demand and supply gap increases beyond 4500 MW, it may be permitted to buy costly power and recover the cost from the consumers, so that the revenue would be neutral on the lines of Pune model.
