Mother killed girl child by forcing down screws in foodpipe: Police

Jaipur, May 17 (UNI) A 12-day old girl was killed by her mother and grandmothers, by forcing pins and screws down her foodpipe in rajasthan's Bundi district, police investigation revealed.

The police yesterday lodged criminal cases against mother and both paternal and maternal grandmothers for murdering the child a year back.

The incident occured a year back on May 27, 2006, when doctors were surprised on finding screws, pins, coins and even polythenes in the foodpipe of a 12-day old girl child of Rishi Kumar, a resident of Raghubir Bhavan locality in Bundi. The news had made headlines a year ago.

The doctors of JK Loan in Kota operated and could not find how could these objects get into the food pipe. They tried to save the child but she died. The police continued to investigate the matter and on the basis of statements of relatives and doctors, found the mother and grandmothers guilty of murder.
