K'taka II PUC results out: Girls outscore boys
Bangalore, May 17: Girls have again outdone boys in the Second-Year Pre-University Exams held during March-April 2007.
According to Mr SG Hegde, Commissioner (Pre-University Education), South Canara district with 80.33 pc has topped the II PU exams while Bidar is the least scorer with 20.20 pc. In the New syllabus section, the overall pass percentage stands at 50.64. 13.17 is the pass percentage in the Old Syllabus section.
Toppers
In the Science section, a student from Shimoga has secured 98%. A student from Bangalore (rural) has topped with 97.6% in Commerce. And surprisingly, a Kannada-medium student from Dharwad has scored 94.55 in the Arts section.
