JSS to open Technical Education Academy in Mauritius on May 26
Mysore, May 17 (UNI) The J S S Mahavidyapeetha, which is running a large number of educational institutions in Karnataka and other parts of the country, will achieve another milestone by opening JSS Technical Education Academy on May 26 in Mauritius.
Mahavidyapeetha Director of Technical Education Prof M H Dhnanjaya, in a release here today, said that Mauritius Prime Minister Dr Naveen Chandra Ramgulam would lay the foundation stone for the new campus building on May 26.
Karnataka Ministers D H Shankara Murthy, H D Revanna, R Ashok, Katta Subramanya Naidu, Mauritius Education Minister Dharmaveer Gokul, Environment Minister Anil Kumar Baicho and Indian High Commissioner in Mauritius B Jayashankar would attend the function as special guests.
The Visveswaraya Technical University (VTU) would be coordinating with the institution recognised by the Government of Mauritius. The JSS Mahavidyapeetha has purchased 7.5 acres of land for Rs Eight crore in Dusend Baun Terray for the Academy and the first phase of work was estimated to cost Rs 17 crores. The academy is offering B.E. courses in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Sciences and Engineering and Electronics and Communication, admission was also provided through Comed-K entrance test from the current academic year, he added.
