HP partners Medi Assist for TPA services

Bangalore, May 17 (UNI) Medi Assist India Pvt Ltd has partnered Hewlett-Packard (HP) to develop customised applications for running Third Party Administration (TPA) services and provide end-to-end healthcare solutions to customers.

The initiative would help Medi Assist increase the capacity, speed and quality of the claims processing system, besides augmenting the suite of value-added services the company offered corporate customers, a HP-Medi Assist joint release here said today.

Given the explosive growth in the healthcare and healthcare insurance industries, there was an increasing pressure on their backend processing systems, to keep pace. To tackle the increasing volume of claims at Medi Assist, HP had proposed a scalable claims processing system completely custom built to Medi Assist specifications, on HP industry standard servers and Open Source Layered software. These applications were derived from HP's knowledge and vast experience in handling large volume transaction systems, the release said.

HP would provide the complete suite of project management and support capabilities to Medi Assist, it added.

Medi Assist, a leading TPA service provider in healthcare insurance, enabled cashless hospitalisation at pre-designated points of healthcare delivery and in case of reimbursement claims, settlement of the same.
