HC notice to CBI in bail case of Sacha Sauda chief's gunman

Chandigarh, May 17 (UNI) Punjab and Haryana High Court justice Surya Kant today issued notice for July 30 to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on the bail application of Safdal Singh. Safdal Singh, a gunman of Sacha Sauda Chief Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh, is allegedly involved in the murder of Ranjit Singh, a resident of Khanpur village Kolian in Kurukshetra district.

The CBI was entrusted with the probe into this case along with two other cases -- murder of Sirsa journalist Ram Chander Chhatrapati and alleged sexual exploitation of female inmates by the Dera head.
